The Death Of A Football Player
As confirmed by the Greenville Police Department in Mississippi, there were shots fired at 12:11 am on Wednesday, May 28th. Obviously, officers responded to the shooting. When they arrived on the scene, they found someone. A male in his car who had been shot several times.
Afterwards, the victim was transferred to Delta Health Center. This is where he died 35 minutes later.
Sadly, the investigation is still ongoing, so no arrests have been made yet.
According to the Associated Press, the shooting was not isolated. It has been part of a "surge in violent crimes," as stated by the Greenville Mayor Errick D. Simmons.
