Instead, Wilson tells Taste of Country Nights that they will be going "the jazz route," a nod to her Louisiana roots.

Wilson says they will likely hire a jazz band to perform, allowing her friends to just enjoy the celebration. While it might be surprising, Wilson has been hinting about her music of choice for the big day.

"We just want this to be about what it's about, and have our friends and family there, and just really enjoy that moment," Wilson says on Katie & Company

"I definitely probably will have like a jazz band, from New Orleans, something like that," she adds. "Will definitely probably ride off on horses."

One other aspect of the wedding that likely won't happen is a tearful father of the bride.

"I ain't seen that man cry once in my whole life," Wilson shares, adding that Hodges will likely shed a tear or two instead.

What Lainey Wilson Will Wear To Her Wedding

Wilson has made a career out of her signature bell-bottoms. So it might be surprising that, in addition to not having country music, Wilson is also ditching her favorite look, albeit for one day.

"I'm going to wear a dress," Wilson shares on The Kelleigh Bannen Show. "I hadn't done the whole dress shopping. We haven't even picked a date or anything like that. We got some time, but I figured, you know what? I hadn't worn a dress for him yet, and I guess that would be the day to do it."

Wilson might not wear her bell-bottoms on her wedding day, but fans can rest assured she will put them back on as soon as she becomes Mrs. Hodges.

"A few years in, I realized pretty quickly that as a decent female singer-songwriter, that's not enough," Wilson tells PEOPLE. "I needed to do something that made me stand out and stand apart."

"There were times where people looked at me crazy, thinking, 'What in the world are you doing? Looks like you stepped out of the '70s,'" she adds. "But I just kept doing it because I believed in it."
