The Best 5 New Country Songs Of The Week — Crack A Cold One And Enjoy (June 12 Edition)

Howdy partner, ready for some country music? Well I've got the best of the latest hot and ready for you. Bring out the long necks, for the following five songs released this past week are the best ones.

Videos by Wide Open Country

Last week's top song by Lukas Nelson is one I still can't stop spinning. So I'd recommend you check that out too after these ones.

If you do like what you hear, then you'll be pleased to know they've been added to our Spotify playlist for your listening pleasure. Check it out below.

Got that beer yet? Good.

The End

Ironically, "The End" by Jesse Daniel is starting off our list in the #1 spot. Part of the incredible Son of the San Lorenzo album, this song I think is my personal favorite, and is simply a beautiful country song.

The message, the chill vibe, and Daniel's voice make for a song that feels like a sunset on a fulfilling day. A song with a great perspective that uses smart lyrics to set scenes and instill wisdom. What more do you want from a country song?

Country On My Mind

"Country On My Mind" by The Kentucky Gentlemen comes in second place. This raunchy song is one of my favorites from the album. It invites you to get up and get close with your loved one, a stranger, or the most attractive person in the vicinity.

The song oozes a strong atmosphere thanks to their caramel-smooth vocals and seductive lyrics. The music itself perfectly matches the tone the lyrics have set, leading to a full-on listening experience.

Good On Paper

"Good On Paper" by Bailey James is a song I cannot get enough of. The sly and swanky single sings about someone who may look good on paper, but will play you for a heartbroken fool.

Bailey James' voice has a lot to give. She perfectly shifts from subtle and smoky to passionate and powerful at a moment's notice. Her control over her voice gives her a control over the song, which perfectly reflects what she's singing about.

Crankster

Yeah... Jesse Daniel is back on the list. "Crankster" is another song from his album that I couldn't not feature on the list.

It has a strong message that's delivered with his unwavering voice and country excellence. The instrumentals here help you get into the headspace of the man Daniel is singing about, thanks to repetitive yet catchy strumming.

Kitchen Sink

"Kitchen Sink" by Kat Velasco ends our list. This single is just fun. The rolling lyrics and thick country vibe provide an infectious atmosphere.

I can't help but bob my head every time this one comes on. It's a simple song that knows what it is and owns it. Even if you don't think it's special, it does pack a punch and I've had a great time listening to it.

Best Album — Rhinestone Revolution

Rhinestone Revolution by The Kentucky Gentlemen is just one banger after the other. Every song on this comprehensive 16-track album is a joy to listen to. Their signature punch benefits every track, although each one is angled to provide a different side of the strapping twins.

It is a hard task to pick a favorite. "Country Hymn" goes gloriously hard, but "Made For Moving On" is what I'd call a benchmark for their rockin' country style. They can hit you in the feels and they can get you moving. What more can you ask for?

I don't often listen to albums, I prefer to cherry-pick my favorites and cram them into my ever-expanding personal playlist. But I will definitely be returning to Rhinestone Revolution. In fact, I might get it playing now.

Finished your beer yet? Good timing, as this is the end of the list. Check back next week for even more brilliant country tracks.
