Allie Colleen, daughter of Garth Brooks, wants to really carve her own identity in the music industry. One that's out of her father's enormous shadow.

The incredibly talented Allie Colleen recently went on the BobbyCast, where she touched on how the industry still views her as Garth Brooks' daughter and not an independent musician.
"I'm just asking, more so the industry, to help me out to not put me in that box to people," she pleaded. Having such a famous singer for a dad while wanting to be a singer yourself must be pretty tough. But the industry always mentally pairing her with her father isn't helping her to make a career for herself.
"I'm not gonna fit in that box, they're not gonna like me in there. You know what I mean? I don't represent him at all," she said. Colleen is a brilliant singer. Her own abilities being mired by the association with her father is a limiting space. One she doesn't fit well in.
"So it's just always been really tough when it's like, 'Garth Brooks' daughter, Allie Colleen, doing this, this, this.' Now all of a sudden, everyone thinks 'Friends In Low Places' is gonna be in my set. And it's not. It's not in there."
The constant expectation to perform her dad's songs over her own must be a little insulting. If you want to listen to Garth Brooks, then go and listen to Garth Brooks. Allie Colleen will be over here doing her own thing.
Fans Rush To Support Allie Colleen
In the comment section of the Instagram clip, fans rushed forth to support the singer in her independent journey. Many didn't even know she was the daughter of Garth Brooks, which goes to show just how seriously she takes carving out her own space without the influence of her father.
"I don't know if this is good or bad but I like your music and didn't know until right this moment you are his daughter," wrote one.
"Been following her a few years, zero clue she was Garth's daughter! Wild!" exclaimed another.
"The first time I heard Allie was on Bobby Bones's show in 2019. Loved her then, love her more now! She's her own person, and entertainer,! Totally different style from her dad!" supported one more.
