George Strait Creates The Sweetest Moment With Young Fans In a Buffalo Parking Lot

George Strait might be the King of Country, but he is also apparently the King of Kindness. In a recent video, Strait is seen in a Black SUV, signing autograph after autograph for eager fans, in a parking lot in Buffalo.

Interestingly, but not surprisingly, most of what fans wanted Strait to sign was guitars, a nod to Strait's extraordinary career in country music.

The video posted is likely from when Strait performed at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, New York, just outside of Buffalo. The show is part of Strait's 2025 Stadium Tour, which includes Chris Stapleton.

George Strait's Future Touring Plans

Strait extended his Stadium Tour into 2025, but his days of touring are finite. Strait reveals that he will likely only tour for a few more years.

"I have maybe five good years to sing my songs for you folks," Strait announced on stage last month.

Still, fans can rest assured that Strait still loves to tour, which is why he has no immediate plans to retire.

"It's been around 50 now," Strait says. "And I still love it just as much as I ever did. I walk through those curtains and I see your smiling faces, my feet don't touch the ground again until I walk back out and get on that bus."

Fans can be grateful that they have had George Strait at all. He admits he almost gave up early in his career, when he was told he was "too country." Fortunately, his wife Norma talked him into giving it another chance.

"Norma has always been very supportive," Strait says of his wife. "Success is something she always wanted for me, because she knew how bad I wanted it."

All of country music has a debt of gratitude to Norma for pushing her husband to stay in country music. Still, her reasons for prodding her husband were not as selfless as they might seem.

"I figured I didn't want to live in Uvalde with him like that," Norma says, recalling how upset he was about giving up his dreams. "I wanted him to give it one more chance."
