Zach Bryan Invites A Kid On Stage To Play Drums… Only To Mute Them When He Performs Badly

Zah Bryan inviting a kid to play the drums on stage might sound like a good deed, but it was pretty poorly handled.

Fans recorded the moment Zach Bryan invited a kid onto the stage during one of his shows in Dublin, Ireland. The kid had a sign that read, "I came from Seattle can you put me on stage?" Zach Bryan was quick to invite the kid up, and had him sit down on the drums.

Hilariously, the kid looked incredibly unimpressed. With a persistent straight face, he took to the drums as the band began to play "Heading South."

On the other side of the kid's sign, it said that he'd been drumming since the age of 3. Considering how young he appears, it looks like he's been drumming for most of his life. However, when the song got going, the poor kid didn't impress many.

Let me say that it takes courage to get up on that stage. Let alone actually playing with the band. It also would have been tricky, considering he likely didn't know how to play the drums for that specific song. At such a young age, you can't expect him to play as good as any professional drummer.

However, he didn't play very well, which prompted Zach Bryan to mute the drums, perform the song again, and laugh at him.

Wholesome Moment Turned Sour

In another clip shared by a fan, you can clearly see Zach Bryan laughing as he gets through the song. I suppose it's possible he saw a really funny sign, but it's more likely he's laughing at the kid on the drums.

Thanks to comments on these videos by fans who attended the show, we can tell what really went down.

"Guys I was there," wrote one. "The kid couldn't drum for s--t. they had to turn the drums off quick and Zach was struggling not to burst out laughing at the awkwardness. He kept his cool kept playing gave the kid the whole song and then they played the song again once the kid was off stage."

One could argue it was nice for Zach Bryan to invite the kid at all on the stage and for him to play through the whole song. But having him play through the song with muted drums is a bit of a slap in the face.
