The Track That Means The Most To Tyler Booth From Latest EP 'Downtown' (Exclusive)

Tyler Booth has finally released his third EP, Downtown, which is a collection of songs made up of what he's passionate about: his way of life, his freedom, and his girl.

Downtown kicks off brilliantly with my favorite track, "Talkin' White Trash," only to serve you serenade after serenade. Until you get to "Freeborn Man," anyway.

Each of these songs is so clearly cut from a corner of his soul. Yet among the six pieces, there is one that he's been toiling over for three years. Answering our questions, Tyler Booth told us about the track that is the most important to him.

"'Bluegrass On My Mind,'" he answered. "I've had that title for like 3 years and kept it to myself until I was ready, and when I finally felt ready, I wrote it by myself. It's special because I took my time to get there with this song."

This song is an ode to his fiancée. So it's no wonder he labored over it for so long.

The length of time spent on this song in particular became even more significant to me after learning how quick the rest of the EP came together.

"I feel like this EP is almost farm-to-table... It's the quickest turnaround of music I've ever done, as far as creating it to recording it in the studio. I'm excited about this EP because I feel like I'm finally at a point in my career where I'm coming into my own musically," he wrote.

The 'Downtown' EP Is A Precursor To Tyler Booth's First Album

Downtown means a lot to Tyler Booth. With it, he's hoping people "hear the real Tyler Booth."

"This is about as me as music gets, and I'm hoping there's something for everyone on this one. So much of the project is reflective of my upbringing, and I hope that shows."

If this makes you want more from the singer, then not only are you not alone, but you'll be excited to hear that his debut album is "already recorded."

"This EP is somewhat of an intro into what's to come. I'm excited to start rolling out this project and share how we evolved," he shared.

"I'm looking forward to continuing to put the music out we've been recording and to get out on the road and share it with the fans. I feel like there is a new chapter in my career that's just getting started. The future feels good."

Although I'm partial to fun and upbeat songs like "Talkin' White Trash," I really appreciate the window into his soul he's provided. "Hummin' Song" is the one I enjoy the most of his gentler tracks.

Make sure to check his EP out.
