Beyonce Halts Concert After Being Left Dangling From Prop On Stage

Wouldn't you? I know not all of y'all are scared of heights, but just watch the video. The fact that Beyoncé remained as calm as she did is pretty impressive. With a hot mic in front of my face, I fear a few extra choice words might have been uttered. But hey, maybe that's why I'm not cut out for showbiz.

Can Beyoncé Fly?

Based on her reaction to the car mishap, I'd guess that she probably can't. (Even though her nickname is Queen Bee.)

During this concert on June 28th, at NRG Stadium, her flying red Cadillac had a bit of a misfire. Not in the quirky, fun, planned way. More like in the scary, stop the concert kind of way.

To Beyonce's credit, she did a great job keeping calm while the situation turned chaotic. While she moved across the stage singing '16 Carriages' in said Red Cadillac, it started tilting sideways. Mind you, she was pretty high up in the air, as the stunt called for. So naturally, her fans started losing their minds.

Thankfully, Beyoncé herself stayed quite calm during the whole ordeal. She just told the technicians to stop a couple of times. No screaming, no shouting, just that regal presence she always seems to have.

She eventually was brought back down to Earth, thankfully, and took a few minutes to breathe.

Actually, once she was lowered back down, she said to the crowd, "If I ever fall, I know y'all would catch me." Just trying to add a bit of levity to the fans having a mental breakdown in the stands.

How Did The Fans React?

Well, exactly how they reacted in person. There was a slew of fear and anger. Depending on which of the millions of posts you look at online, there will be hundreds of millions of commenters to comb through. Not to mention all the posts by the people who attended the concert.

Beyoncé's production and management company, Parkwood, released a statement as well. They've stated, "Tonight, in Houston, at NRG Stadium, a technical mishap caused the flying car, a prop Beyoncé uses to circle the stadium and see her fans up close, to tilt." They went on to state, "

"She was quickly lowered, and no one was injured. The show continued without incident." Which is fantastic news to hear, no one wants anything to happen to that absolute icon.
