4 of the Best Artists That HARDY Has Collaborated With

Country rock artist HARDY has collaborated with many artists over the years. Here are some of our favorite collaborations he’s done.

This past Friday, country and rock-inspired artist HARDY dropped a new song with Ella Langley, titled "Never Met Anyone Like You." This release was unexpected from fans, as Langley didn't reveal anything about the collaboration until the week prior to the song's release. As HARDY fans know, this certainly isn't the first time the Mississippi native has worked on collaborations with popular country stars. Although HARDY has been known to get in the studio with artists from time to time, here are some of our personal favorites that we think you should listen to if you haven't already.

"He Went To Jared" (ft. Morgan Wallen)

The second song off of HARDY's debut album project, "HIXTAPE: Vol. 1" this call and response duet gives the classic "bro-country" genre a special twist, and focuses on telling a story of two guys, one who "goes to Jared" with his girl and one, a little more rough around the edges, who goes to the bar. As is typical of much of Wallen's music, this song glamorizes the "bro-country" lifestyle, and you can tell that HARDY and Wallen had a lot of fun making it.

"Hide My Gun" (ft. Post Malone)

This song made the cut as one of the features off of Post Malone's country debut "F-1 Trillion" last year, on which he features collaborations with Country Hall of Famers like Blake Shelton, Tim McGraw, Hank Williams, Jr., and Dolly Parton. HARDY's southern gothic flair meshes with the pop-country elements of Malone's sound beautifully, and allows a story that begs the question of ultimate loyalty to be told in a clever way.

"Third Rock From The Sun" (ft. Joe Diffie, Blake Shelton, Brooks and Dunn)

With an all star cast of classic country storytellers, this collaboration off of the third installment in HARDY's "HIXTAPE" series not only showcases the vocal abilities of Diffe, Shelton, and duo Brooks and Dunn, but also pays tribute to Joe Diffie, who originally took the song to number one as the title track on his own album in 1994. Although it's only a cover, the HARDY version reimagines the Diffe classic, while keeping many of the elements that classic country fans know and love, like tangy electric guitars, steel guitars, and fiddle.

"Never Met Anyone Like You" (ft. Ella Langley)

As the most recent addition to HARDY's discography, the Ella Langley collaboration takes a classic expression and spins it on its head, all while showcasing Langley's vocal and songwriting talents. The song tells the story of falling for a person who's one of a kind, but reveals by the end that this might be in a negative way. At this point, the song goes full country-rock, almost screamo in a sense, and perfectly encapsulates the twist at the end of a song that HARDY is known for in much of his writing.
