Being a celebrity can really open you up to the prospects of being a bachelor. All the money and access sees the attention skyrocket, for better or worse. That's not even accounting for some people's temptations and infidelity either. So when you're a massive star and someone to be desired like Clint Eastwood, things can get a little wild. Now, at his advanced age, there's time to reflect on what all of that means.

Recently, writer and filmmaker Shawn Levy wrote a book on the iconic actor, captured by PEOPLE. The title is Clint: The Man and The Movies, chronicling his life and career. One aspect of it explores his various romances and marriages over the decades. In between some of his deeper commitments, though, he still had affairs. "By many accounts, including his own, he more or less comported himself as if he were a bachelor," the book reads.
Clint Eastwood's Infidelity Explored in New Biography
"One thing (my wife Maggie Johnson) had to learn about me was that I was going to do as I pleased," Eastwood says in a 1963 interview. "She had to accept that, because if she didn't, we wouldn't be married." Additionally, he's also said, "I'm independent, a vagabond, and [Johnson] accepts me as I am and doesn't strangle me with female possessiveness."
That relationship eventually reaches its limit with Maggie though. She divorces from Clint in 1984 after 30 plus years together. In a separate biography in 1997, Eastwood himself admits that he's wild about the women in his life. Moreover, he could hardly be contained about it. He likens it the same way an addict fiends for his next hit. "Addictive," Clint calls it. "Like you have to have another cigarette." The last time Eastwood was married was to his wife Dina. That relationship ends in 2014 and he's been single ever since at 95 years old.
