Touring can seem both incredibly rewarding and exhausting alike. On one hand, artists get to see the world. Fans from all over the globe go out to see them and their culture melds with the music. It really lends perspective that it's bigger than themselves. However, on the other hand, there's a ton of logistics that have to be worked out. Making sure travel goes seamlessly, passports, all their belongings are accounted for. For Cody Jinks, it's making sure all of the bells and whistles in production for his show pass through customs accordingly.

Unfortunately, some complications made the country crooner cancel some shows up in Canada. Recently, Jinks posted on Instagram, informing fans that his 4th of July shows in the country have to be cancelled. Why? Cody didn't name a specific reason mentioned but it has something to do with whatever is in his production trucks. Consequently, with none of his production equipment with him, the show simply can't go on.
Cody Jinks Turned Away at Canadian Border Before 4th of July Shows
"While attempting to cross the border into Canada, my production trucks were forced to turn around and head back to the United States by the Canada Border Services Agency. Getting them into Canada was made a logistic impossibility despite following all the prescribed procedures given to us," Cody writes in a statement.
"I had to make the difficult decision to cancel the shows on July 4th and 5th. It is incredibly important to me that everyone who spends their hard-earned money to see a show gets the absolute best experience possible," Cody adds. "Right now, that standard just can't be met without my trucks. It kills me to have to do this because putting on these shows for you guys has always been the greatest joy of my career, but unfortunately, my hands are tied."
Jinks takes the formal, professional route in addressing this. However, his opener Ward Davis is clearly less than thrilled that he's missing out on a big payday. He takes to X to defend Cody, blasting Canadian border officials as "petty little ham-eating d**k balls." "That kept a lot of people from going to work this weekend. And for all the problems we have in this world, we should thank God that we have these denim warriors keeping songwriters out of Canada. The last thing people need is music. Seriously," Ward tweets.
