Originally hailing from Poplar, Mississippi, country music trio Chapel Hart consists of sisters Danica Hart and Devynn Hart, along with their cousin Trea Swindle. The vocalists gained national recognition on the 2022 season of America's Got Talent when they performed their response to Dolly Parton's classic hit, "You Can Have Him Jolene." However, even after receiving a "Group Golden Buzzer" and high praise from successful country music artists since then, it appears that the trio might be turning into a duo.

On July 2nd, in a post that has since been deleted, lead vocalist Danica Hart put out a statement claiming that she is being pushed out of the group, along with several other claims regarding violence and abuse amongst other members. "Over the past several months, I have remained silent, but I can no longer stay quiet about what has happened," she said.
"I am being pushed out of my band and my company, and throughout this time, other members of our team and I have been subjected to physical violence and abuse. I am at the point of breaking."
How The Trio Plans To Move Forward
Although the initial post did not elaborate on the allegations of violence and abuse, Hart did express confusion about the band's decision to move forward without her as a group.
According to Hart, the other group members, along with their manager, Jeff Glixman, have signed a document that allows them to continue working under the "Chapel Hart" name, unless Hart also signs the document by a certain time on Tuesday night. "And my question is how???" she penned.
Hart also expressed a desire at the end of her post to seek legal counsel to figure out how to navigate the situation appropriately. "I really need an entertainment attorney or maybe a regular attorney, or any suggestion on what to do...please help."
The trio had plans to continue performing throughout the year, with concerts scheduled across the United States, Norway, Germany, and the United Kingdom for the remainder of 2025.
Regarding her participation in the group's touring and travel plans, Hart said, "I intended to fulfill the commitments and complete the agreed upon dates, but given the circumstances, I no longer feel safe or supported to continue."
