He will hold a gala benefit in two weeks for those affected by the Texas Hill Country flood, per Country Now. Strait to the Heart on July 27 is "an intimate donor dinner and concert" presented by Strait and the charity organization Vaqueros del Mar. It will be held in Boerne, Texas, at the Estancia at Thunder Valley arena. The benefit will be limited to 1,000 attendees.

George Strait Understands The Dire Need To Assist People Affected By The Flood
The loss of life caused by this disaster is immense, heartbreaking, and absolutely tragic. As of July 11, the death toll is "more than 120," with "at least 160" unaccounted for, per CNN. Those numbers continue to be revised as circumstances warrant.
Per the outlet, Strait said, "The destruction and loss in our community from the recent flood is hard to wrap your head around. Our hearts and prayers are with you all. The goal with this event is to raise meaningful, immediate support that can be put directly into the hands of flood victims without delay, while also honoring the first responders that work tirelessly to save lives."
