Kaye and Deluca were found deceased by the Los Angeles Police Department, who checked on the couple after someone requested their assistance to do a welfare check.
Only four days before the tragic murder of Kaye and Deluca, police responded to a potential burglary at the same address.
"The victims returned home while the suspect had gained entry into the residence. A confrontation ensued, which resulted in the suspect taking their lives," authorities reveal. "The victims succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds, and the suspect fled from the residence on foot."
A neighbor reportedly expressed concern about what was happening at the home, prior to the double homicide.
"My renter called 911 on Thursday because she saw somebody hopping the fence. And I have no idea if that was related or not," a neighbor named Amee Faggen tells CNN. "They came and left, the helicopters and police came. And I heard from my other neighbor that yesterday. The police came to do a wellness check, and the family said they hadn't heard from them in four days."
