Jason Aldean’s Son Taken to the ER—and if Anyone Asks, He Was Wrestling Alligators

Jason Aldean projects a pretty tough, resilient image to his fans. With his 10-gallon hat and stoic stare, one has to wonder if anything can hurt him.

Aldean's resilience must run in the family. On Tuesday, July 15, Aldean's wife, Brittany, posted on Instagram Stories that she, Aldean, and her 7-year-old son, Memphis, had spent the night in the emergency room and were spending the day recovering.

Memphis Is One Tough Customer

Let's just get this out of the way right now: Memphis is going to be fine. As we mentioned earlier, he's just as rugged as his dad.

That doesn't mean the Aldean family didn't find some humor in all the chaos. In one of the videos she posted, Brittany wrote that Memphis was "still making us laugh even in the ER."

Memphis still does look a little worse for wear, though. He seems a little bewildered, which is understandable. The ER can be a scary place for even the strongest hearts.

In one of the videos, the "You Make It Easy" singer then asks Memphis if he's feeling better off-camera. "Kind of" is his response.

"I hope it's not broke, but I think maybe you're probably gonna have to get a little sling," says Aldean. "I bet they'll give you a little sling."

Aldean Keeps His Sense of Humor Throughout

The diagnosis for the young Memphis is a fractured collarbone. It's unclear how the injury occurred. According to Brittany, her son will need to be in a sling and get some rest and "extra lovin'."

Now comes the fun part: When his friends ask what happened, what will Memphis tell them? Thankfully, his tough-as-hell dad has some ideas.

"Tell them you were wrestling alligators," says Aldean and another man in the video.

Memphis explains that none of his friends would believe that story, but then he starts thinking about how many of the big-toothed lizards he could take on.

It was a long night for the Aldean family, but it's evident that Memphis has a great support system to help him recover over the next few weeks. Memphis is the older brother of six-year-old sister Navy and one of two children Aldean and Brittany share. The singer also has two children, Keeley, 22, and Kendyl, 17, from a previous marriage.
