Country Music Star and Nashville Resident, Ella Langley, Buys Her First Home—in Alabama

Ella Langley has achieved another milestone. However, this particular accomplishment has nothing to do with record sales or awards. In fact, it has very little to do with music at all.

The 26-year-old singer of "You Look Like You Love Me" has become a first-time homebuyer.

The Nashville resident purchased a lakefront retreat just a short drive away from her parents' home in Montgomery, Alabama. Langley told Audacy's Katie Neal on her Superstar Power Hour podcast that she chose the location because she feels most like herself when she is in the state where she was born and raised.

"It just brings me back to who I am at the root of me every time I go back there," she said. "And when it comes to writing songs and being in that state of mind, I think it's important to have a place like that."

Ella Langley Will Also Call Nashville Home

While she says that she will likely "always" live in the Volunteer State because of its proximity to the country music industry, she also wants to be close to her family. She moved to Nashville in 2019 to follow her music career.

"I think I'll always have to live in Tennessee to some extent in my life, but being from Alabama, it's so close. It's under four hours to get there," she said.

Langley Also Talked About Her New Album

No word if Langley is going to put the Single of the Year Award she snagged at the Academy of Country Music Awards for "You Look Like You Love Me," her duet with Riley Green (who she may or may not be dating). However, she did mention she is going to take her time putting together her new album.

My next record's not going to be out until 2026," she said. "I feel like people move on from their records so fast ... and I think there's something to be said with taking your time with making the record and putting all those pieces in place where it can last a long time, last in a way where fans can keep digging into it and digging into it and finding new songs that they love and finding new little pieces about the record that's different."
