John Rich Calls Personal Favor to Donald Trump to Help His Home County

Being a vocal supporter of Donald Trump in country seems to have its benefits for John Rich. Having the president on call for a favor allows him to be more effective in his community. For example, recently, the TVA (Tennessee Valley Authority) has had some plans to build a generation facility in Cheatham County, Tennessee. However, this alters some of the farmland in Rich's community and he's been radically opposed to it ever since.

Now, the TVA has pivoted from their initial plans to set up shop in the area John cherishes so much. Instead, "with input from community leaders," they're eyeballing some other places in central Tennessee areas. Ultimately, their goal was to address "increasing power demand across the system" and deliver "reliable, low-cost electricity."

Apparently, those community leaders in question was Rich yelling at them a whole bunch. Additionally, he claims that he's got the president backing him up on it too.

"Right now I'd like to thank the President of the United States, Donald Trump, for weighing in on this situation. I'd like to thank Secretary Brooke Rollins with the Department of Agriculture for weighing in on this situation. They joined forces with me and all the residents of Cheatham County, and as of today, TVA announces they are pulling out," John adds.

Rich isn't satisfied with just nipping the TVA in the bud here. In fact, he wants to radically alter their approach entirely. With his connections, he hopes to put in more precautions so they don't run rampant in other communities. "This is just the beginning of what I hope turns into a complete revamping of the TVA," John says. There should be new protocols put into place for how they have to behave. They should have to deal with zoning laws like every other energy company does."
