Riley Green Reveals The Sweetest Way He Still Takes Care Of His Mom, And Vice Versa

Riley Green might have a successful country music career in Nashville, but he is still taking care of his mom, and vice versa. The 36-year-old reveals that his mother still holds onto his checkbook, likely to both help her son, and also allow them to splurge a little.

"My dad called me yesterday and asked if we could buy an enclosed trailer for $750, which is not what they cost," Green tells Taste of Country Nights. "So I can tell you that it's probably a piece of junk."

Junk or not, Green made sure his parents were able to purchase what they wanted.

"I'm like, 'Yeah, man, mom's got my checkbook, just go — go get it," Green recounts.

Green can afford to buy pretty much whatever he wants by now, but he still loves to find a good bargain, thanks to his upbringing.

"When I go back to Alabama, there's this big flea market that they have on Saturdays and Sundays," Green shares. "Me and my dad go up there and look for bargains and people's used junk that nobody needs."

Riley Green Has A New Duet With Ella Langley

Green is likely going to have an even bigger bank account soon. After the success of his "You Look Like You Love Me" duet with Ella Langley, the two are back with another song together. Green just released "Don't Mind If I Do," the title track of his latest album, which he also sings with Langley.

"I think a lot about the song is cool to me," Green says. "I like how it feels like an older country song. It's got that traditional feel to it. But I've never heard a duet where the female just sang the last chorus, and it was from her perspective."

Although "Don't Mind If I Do" seems tailor-made for Green and Langley, he reveals that he didn't originally intend for the song to be a true duet.

"Originally she just sang the last chorus," Green says. "And then I went back and got her to kind of slowly come into the song with harmonies because I just liked introducing her kind of slowly into the song like that."
