Does President Donald Trump think Sydney Sweeney has "great jeans?"

He finally shared his thoughts on the actress's American Eagle ad campaign. But before we share his take, here's a recap of how this whole thing got started.
There's Something About That Tagline
American Eagle debuted a new campaign featuring Sweeney for its denim line several weeks ago. The ads were typical of the many that feature the actress; they highlight her looks. However, it was the tagline that caused an uproar.
"Sydney Sweeney has great jeans," it read.
Another video has the Euphoria actress saying, "Genes are passed down. My jeans are blue."
Critics argue that because the ad features the blonde-haired, blue-eyed Sweeney, its wordplay has eugenic and white supremacist undertones. Others have taken it a step further and compared it to Nazi propaganda.
It Seems Like Everyone Has an Opinion About the Sydney Sweeney Ad
The internet being the internet, everyone made their opinion known about the ads. Many remarked that the ad feels like a racial dog whistle.
Rapper Doja Cat even made a TikTok that poked fun at the campaign.
News of the backlash reached Washington D.C. Steven Cheung, the White House communications director, called the uproar "cancel culture run amok." Other Republican leaders, including Vice President JD Vance, have echoed that sentiment.
At press time, Sydney has not commented on the controversy. On the other hand, American Eagle stated in a social media post that the campaign "is and always was about the jeans."
"We'll continue to celebrate how everyone wears their AE jeans with confidence, their way."
President Trump Weighs In
On his Truth Social platform, President Trump shared his lengthy opinion on the issue.
"Sydney Sweeney, a registered Republican, has the "HOTTEST" ad out there. It's for American Eagle, and the jeans are "flying off the shelves." Go get 'em Sydney! On the other side of the ledger, Jaguar did a stupid, and seriously WOKE advertisement, THAT IS A TOTAL DISASTER! The CEO just resigned in disgrace, and the company is in absolute turmoil. Who wants to buy a Jaguar after looking at that disgraceful ad? Shouldn't they have learned a lesson from Bud Lite, which went Woke and essentially destroyed, in a short campaign, the Company. The market cap destruction has been unprecedented, with BILLIONS OF DOLLARS SO FOOLISHLY LOST."
He also took a shot at Taylor Swift to bring his point home.
"Or just look at Woke singer Taylor Swift. Ever since I alerted the world as to what she was by saying on TRUTH that I can't stand her (HATE!). She was booed out of the Super Bowl and became, NO LONGER HOT. The tide has seriously turned — Being WOKE is for losers, being Republican is what you want to be.
Thank you for your attention to this matter!"
