Given the recent drama surrounding Zach Bryan and Dave Portnoy, it should come as no surprise that the Barstool Sports CEO isn't a big fan of Bryan's live shows.

Just last summer, after attending a Zach Bryan concert in Foxborough, Massachusetts, Portnoy said that he "almost fell asleep." He said that he went only as a favor to Brianna Chickenfry, with whom he co-hosted the BFFs podcast and stood up for after her breakup with Zach Bryan.
Since Brianna's messy breakup with the country star, Portnoy has been quick to defend his friend. Portnoy called Zach Bryan a "fraud" and said, "Every time I met him, I was not comfortable with him." Recently, Bryan, Chickenfry, and Portnoy have been seen on their social media going back and forth. This probably has a lot to do with a video that Zach Bryan posted last week, where he burned a "Saturday Is For the Boys" Flag to the tune of Tyler Childer's "Bitin' List".
Brianna's response to the messy video was a simple message on her story, "Nurse, he's loose again!!" followed by several laughing crying emojis. Portnoy's response was to take a screenshot of the video and post it on his story with the caption, "Oh no. How are we ever gonna recover?" The reason for Bryan's post appears unclear. But so far, it's only opened a giant can of worms that probably should have been left in 2024.
The Long-Standing Feud Between Zach Bryan and Dave Portnoy
In October of last year, Bryan announced on his Instagram story that he was splitting from Brianna Chickenfry, just one day after the couple had called it quits. Brianna said she felt super "blindsided" by the announcement, mainly because they had agreed to keep things cordial.
Brianna followed this up by going on the BFFs Podcast, where she shared that while in their relationship, she dealt with a lot of "emotional abuse" from Bryan. She even went on to mention that the singer's team had offered her $12 million to sign an NDA, but that she refused.
Back when Brianna and Bryan were still together, the personality went with Portnoy to one of the country singer's shows in Massachusetts. From videos taken of fans nearby, it seemed like the two were enjoying themselves. Heck, Portnoy even got up on stage during "Revival," one of Bryan's biggest songs. However, he later made it seem like he only got on stage because if he hadn't, he would have "fallen asleep."
"It was so slow. Listen, if Brianna asked me for a favor, I said I'll do it. I didn't want to do it, I didn't even know the song. I turned and I go, 'This concert's so slow I'm gonna need some Adderall to make it to the end of it."
Well, it seems like he's not gonna have to worry about going to any Zach Bryan shows for now. At least until the feud between Bryan, Chickenfry, and Portnoy subsides, which doesn't seem likely to happen anytime soon.
