Morgan Wallen Brings Out Kid Rock for Night One Concert in Ohio

Morgan Wallen brought out a special guest for Night One of his I'm The Problem Tour in Ohio, and it's someone he has a history with.

This past weekend, Morgan Wallen played shows for his I'm The Problem Tour in Ohio, which also featured performances by Miranda Lambert, Gavin Adcock, Thomas Rhett, and Zach John King. On this particular tour, Wallen has had many a viral moment when it comes to the walkout song he chooses for each show, which is the song that he uses as background music for whenever he first steps on stage. During his One Night At A Time Tour, he often used his song "Broadway Girls," but this tour, he's been keeping fans guessing.

At his shows in Ohio, the singer decided he wanted to do something unexpected for his walkout song. At Night One, Wallen made waves when he brought out Kid Rock as a guest, creating a full circle moment for both him and his long-time fans.

Back when Morgan Wallen was merely a contestant on The Voice from Knoxville, Tennessee, he somehow got the attention of Kid Rock through a demo of the song "Still Somethin," which Kid Rock cut on his 2022 album Bad Reputation. Little do most fans know, Wallen was a co-writer on the song, which ended up being an excellent way for him to get exposure from a big name in music.

"This is before Morgan Wallen blew up," Kid Rock explained the story to the Club Random podcast. "I remember somehow I got a demo of it, I can't remember what, and I just couldn't get over the voice on it." The rap and hip hop singer was impressed by Morgan's raw talent, even before anyone knew who the singer was. "I was like 'who the f*** is singing this demo?' It was Morgan Wallen."

How Morgan Wallen Went From The Voice to the Big Stage

Although Morgan Wallen is one of the biggest names in country music now, with his 2025 album I'm The Problem sitting at the top of the Billboard 200 charts and an Entertainer of the Year CMA under his belt, there was a time when he was just another voice trying to make it big. After making an appearance on The Voice in 2014, Wallen was able to use his time on the TV show to connect with industry professionals.

It wasn't long before the singer was signing with Big Loud Records in 2018 and releasing his first album, If I Know Me. Through strategic collaborations and growth over time, Wallen eventually became the superstar that we know him to be today.

Fans can still get tickets to see Morgan Wallen on his I'm The Problem Tour, which runs until the end of September. The singer is bringing out every walkout guest imaginable, from Kid Rock to Drake to Andre Johnson on this tour. He's keeping his fans on their toes, but hey, he wouldn't be Morgan Wallen if he weren't!
