Per NME, bandleader Chris Martin made his stance clear during a performance at Craven Park in Hull, a rugby stadium in the band's native country of England.

"We've been doing this a long time, and it is only recently that it became a...yeah," said Martin. "Life throws you lemons and you've got to make lemonade. So, we are going to keep doing it because we are going to meet some of you."

Wait... What Happened With the Kiss Cam?

If you're somehow unaware of what happened at a Coldplay show in the Boston area last month, let us be the first to congratulate you on waking up from your coma.

But seriously...

At the show, the camera focused on a couple in the audience. The man had his arms wrapped around the woman. When they realized what was happening, they awkwardly turned away.

Martin then commented on the incident, saying, "Either they're having an affair, or they're just very shy."

The clip went viral, of course. The couple was later identified as Andy Byron, the CEO of the tech firm Astronomer, and Kristin Cabot, an HR executive at the company.

The board at Astronomer launched an investigation, and both Byron and Cabot subsequently resigned from the company. For further details, then check out this BBC article.

What Else Did Coldplay Say About the Incident?

Before making his stance on the Kiss Cam known at the show at Craven Park, Martin began to address what happened by saying, "We are so happy to be here. Many of you have written signs. So, I'll take some time to try and read some signs. Then we'll see what happens.

"First of all [that sign reads:] 'three times in three months'... You were at that Boston gig! Well, OK, thank you for coming again after that debacle."

Coldplay is expected to conclude its Music of the Spheres tour with a sold-out show on Sep. 8 at London's Wembley Stadium. It has run for over three years.
