Green sings, "No, I can't make her stay / And I can't make her take me back / I can't make her miss me / No, I can't do none of that," in the clip. Although Green has not released the song as a single, the Alabama native has been performing it on his Damn Country Music Tour.
Green has six new songs on Don't Mind If I Do (Deluxe), including two duets. In addition to "Make It Rain," other tracks on the album are "Cowboy As It Gets (featuring Randy Houser)," "I Just Need You (featuring Hannah McFarland)," "What Am I Supposed To Do Now," "Bet They're Biting" and "One To Willie."
Riley Green Releases "Don't Mind If I Do" With Ella Langley As A Single
Green just released "Don't Mind If I Do" with Ella Langley as his next single. Green wrote the song by himself. The song follows their chart-topping "You Look Like You Love Me" collaboration, although Green now says his "Don't Mind If I Do" duet with Langley is really just a happy accident.
"'Don't Mind If I Do' was a song I'd written on that tour," Green tells his record label. "I think I got her to come in the day I wrote it, and just kind of hummed to see what key I needed to write it in, 'cause I wrote it as a duet. And when I was in the studio recording it, I just called her to come by to put a vocal on it, so I could play it for whoever I was gonna pitch it to, as far as the female. And she just crushed it."
As soon as Langley sang the vocal, Green knew he was done looking for a duet partner.
"I couldn't imagine anybody doing it better than she did," Green shares. "So, it was cool for her to be on the song. Also having her out with all the success on the other song, and also lyrically, it kind of feels like the song after 'You Look Like You Love Me.' So it's kind of cool to have that accidentally work out."
