Per the outlet via The Sun, an unnamed source said, "Paul has been working on the album all year and initially hoped it would be out by the end of this year but as with most things plans change. It's not quite finished but the majority of the album is done and Paul is really proud of it. As for live shows he's told his team he wants to tour the UK again, so live gigs next year are also happening."

The Former Beatle's American Tour Starts in September

The beloved ex-Beatle's spin through the States will launch in Palm Desert, California, on September 29. It concludes in Chicago on November 25. Several months ago, McCartney appeared in the Big Apple at the Bowery Ballroom.

His Upcoming Book Chronicles His Time With Wings

McCartney launched the band following the Beatles' headline-making dissolution in the early 1970s. They had many hits such as "Silly Love Songs," "Live and Let Die," and "Jet." The book is reportedly titled Wings: The Story of a Band on The Run, which was the title of one of their albums as well as a song. Its co-author is Ted Widmer.

The legendary singer and songwriter reflected,  "I'm so very happy to be transported back to the time that was Wings and relive some of our madcap adventures through this book. Starting from scratch after the Beatles felt crazy at times. There were some very difficult moments and I often questioned my decision. But as we got better I thought, 'OK, this is really good.' We proved Wings could be a really good band. To play to huge audiences in the same way the Beatles had and have an impact in a different way. It was a huge buzz."

Wings was comprised of Denny Laine on guitar, Linda McCartney (Mrs. McCartney), and on drums, Denny Seiwell. The band released seven studio LPs.
