In this day and age, every company is trying to 'modernize' their logos by draining their artful logos of life. Cracker Barrel tried to do the same, but thankfully, they heard the cries of the people and brought their classic logo back.

What is it with companies these days trying to make their logos as simple as possible? These redesigns almost never look better than their original counterparts. Whenever another company minimizes their logo, comment sections all over the internet cry out in frustration.
And Cracker Barrel was no exception. On August 19, they changed their logo. The company ditched the "Old Timer" for a very simple and slick design. Although the colors and font are reminiscent of the classic logo, the removal of the Old Timer was not taken well.
On August 26, the company shared a statement with USA Today They revealed that they would be ditching the logo redesign and bringing back the Old Timer.
For once, public outcry made a corporation change their mind. Now all we need is for all the other companies to do the same.
"We thank our guests for sharing your voices and love for Cracker Barrel. We said we would listen, and we have," the statement said. "Our new logo is going away and our 'Old Timer' will remain." What a result.
The new design was supposed to be an "enhanced look" that modernized the brand. They wished to move away from its nostalgic hook. But nostalgia is one of the strongest human feelings.
Even Donald Trump Celebrated The Logo Change
Not even Donald Trump could remain quiet on this issue.
In a post to Truth Social, Trump wrote, "Congratulations 'Cracker Barrel' on changing your logo back to what it was. All of your fans very much appreciate it. Good luck into the future. Make lots of money and, most importantly, make your customers happy again!"
Cracker Barrel continued to appreciate the support from the public through a response statement on their website. "If the last few days have shown us anything, it's how deeply people care about Cracker Barrel. We're truly grateful for your heartfelt voices," they wrote. "You've also shown us that we could've done a better job sharing who we are and who we'll always be."
