Jordan Davis is prioritizing working out, and it's for the sweetest reason. Davis reveals he makes fitness a part of his daily schedule, including touring with a trainer, so he can be more present for his four children.

"My daughter was two," Davis tells GQ. "She's six now, and I was playing golf and started having a disc issue. I tried to play through it, but ended up really aggravating it. I was out for a month, took some time off, went back, played some golf, hurt it again."
Davis could have just let it go. But it was thinking about what he wanted his future to look like with his children that gave him the motivation to be in the best shape possible.
"I was like, man, it would break my heart if my kids got into golf and were like, 'Dad, let's go play a round of golf,' and I'm not able to do that because I didn't take care of myself. I made the shift. ... I'm going to start doing whatever I have to do to allow me to be as mobile, athletic, and be able to keep up with my kids as long as I can.
"So, that one injury from golf was what really switched things," he adds. "I got to take this seriously so that I can play sports with them when I'm 50."
Jordan Davis Tours With A Trainer
When Davis decided to get serious about being healthy, he went all in.
"I would do a little bit," Davis says of his days pre-trainer. "But it was treadmill or go jog around the venue, some upper body stuff. I'd do curls or extensions for legs, and that's about it. There was no athletic stuff. There was no explosive stuff. There was no pinpointing areas that I was weak in. He works my whole family out. He also trains my wife."
Once he had a trainer with him, Davis realized he really wanted to be in the best shape possible. He now enjoys the workouts and his routine, which includes both weights and cardio.
"The adjustment was fairly easy, because we try to knock it out early," Davis shares. "A lot of times, the venues already have gyms on-site. If not, [my trainer] does a great job of finding a spot that we can get into. Now it's a non-negotiable, like, we have to get a workout in, or this guy's out here for no reason. Although, that's not just what he does. He helps with diet and stuff like that."
