This Miranda Lambert-Led Music Fest Has Been Canceled (For the Second Time in a Row)

Miranda Lambert was slated to headline the second annual Field & Stream Music Fest. She would have been joined Eric Church and Southern rock icons ZZ Top and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Rising country stars Bailey Zimmerman and Riley Green were also part of the lineup. Newcomers Tyler Farr, Ashley McBryde, Ashland Craft, and Kameron Marlowe rounded out the event.

However, the show won't go on. On Aug. 27, organizers announced that the event had been canceled, without providing a solid explanation.

"Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, Field & Stream Music Fest has been canceled," said a message on both the event's website and social media. "The refund process will commence immediately and will cover all Field & Stream purchases tied to your order, including tickets, upgrades, camping, parking, add-ons, taxes, and fees."

This Isn't the First Time This Event Has Been Scrapped

The Field & Stream Music Fest was actually supposed to kick off last year. Lambert wasn't on that lineup, but Eric Church, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and ZZ Top were.

That event was canceled last year due to extreme weather conditions, namely Hurricane Helene.

Billboard reported in 2024 that Church and Morgan Wallen were part of an ownership group that purchased the 150-year-old Field & Stream outdoor lifestyle brand from Dick's Sporting Goods and the media platform Recurrent.

The duo planned to expand the company with the festival, which was co-produced by Southern Entertainment. They would relaunch its print magazine and offer an apparel collection inspired by Wallen and Church.

"I can remember my grandfather kept a few of his favorite Field & Stream magazines on the dash of his truck," said Church. "That truck took us on hundreds of outdoor adventures. And I all but memorized every story and every picture on every page. They were my Bible. It is the honor of my life to make sure that legacy carries on. It is both this responsibility to an American icon and also to a young boy in his papaw's truck that will be the compass that guides our steps."

"There's nothin' I love more than being with friends around a campfire, on a boat, or in a deer stand — and Field & Stream represents all of those to me," said Wallen. "Being part of its future is incredible. We want to keep bringing people together outdoors, makin' memories, for generations to come."

You Still Have a Chance To See Miranda Lambert This Year

If you had plans to see Lambert at the Field & Stream Fest next month, don't worry. The artist will perform a few dates in Canada with Wallen next month. She also has a few headlining dates in the Southwest and California in September and October. Next year, Lambert will be inducted into the Texas Songwriters Hall of Fame.
