When you're traveling on a flight, there's nothing more frustrating than getting stopped by airport security. Even a big-time celebrity like country singer Rodney Atkins can relate.

In a video posted on social media by Atkins' wife, singer-songwriter Rose Falcon, the "Watching You" singer was flagged by airport security for "something weird in his bag." And when Falcon says "weird," there's no sense of hyperbole. It's definitely an unusual and hilarious moment.
Rodney Atkins Isn't the First Country Star Stopped by Security
Eight years ago, Scott McCreery had a memorable run-in with airport security at Raleigh-Durham International Airport. His issue? He was traveling with a 9 mm Smith & Wesson handgun and two boxes of ammunition. PEOPLE reported that he was cited for attempting to bring a loaded gun through a checkpoint and onto a plane.
"I have been a concealed carry permit holder for a while now after being robbed at gunpoint in 2014, and I take gun safety very seriously," McCreery said in a statement. "While in between tour dates last week, I went to go target shooting with a friend a few days before an early flight out of my hometown Raleigh-Durham airport.
"Unfortunately, I did not realize that I left my pistol in my backpack until the TSA found it during the security X-ray screening and rightly confiscated it. I had my concealed carry permit on me, so once they had checked everything out, they then released me to catch the next available flight. Great to know our airport security force is on the job. I have learned a lesson that I won't forget."
Earlier this year, Grammy-nominee Sammy Kershaw had a similar incident at the Lafayette Regional Airport in Louisiana. He received a $5,000 fine, per Parade.
"It was early, I was half-awake and clearly not thinking straight," said Kershaw. "I've sang songs about heartbreak and hard times, but not about forgetting to check my carry-on for a loaded firearm. That's a new one!"
"I guess it's safe to say I won't be packing heat to my next show," he added. "Let this be your friendly PSA: check your bags, check 'em twice. Let's all stay safe out there."
Atkins Wasn't Packing Heat
As Falcon's video continued, it became clear that there wasn't a weapon in Atkins' bag. What set off security? It wasn't heat, but a tube of meat.
"Wonder what they thought it was," Falcon put in the caption.
Looks like Atkins got to keep his meat, so he won't get hangry on his flight.
In the comments, Johnsonville, who Falcon tagged in the post, responded, "@tsa me and you are besties...how can we ensure summer sausage safety??"
