Lainey Wilson's Acting Career Heats Up, With Possible TV and Film Roles Down the Road

To say that Lainey Wilson's career is hot as blazes these days is an understatement. She is super popular as a singer, and now it seems as an actress as well. Per Taste Of Country, she is eager to act, and in a part that is unlike the role she had as Abby in the TV series Yellowstone. People are reportedly approaching the singer all the time for acting gigs. Per the outlet via Taste Of Country Nights, Wilson shared, "I'm honestly getting pitched things right and left, which is cool. Opportunities where I am a musician, opportunities where I'm not, opportunities just to write for shows."

The singer says her choices are "kinda endless at this point." That's a nice position to be in! She said she is mulling over her next moves. She was in five Yellowstone episodes - a gig that other singers would do just about anything for. Former Hootie and the Blowfish frontman Darius Rucker, now a country music sensation himself, "insists he would even pay to be on the show," per the outlet.

She Is Being Discreet

Wilson isn't spreading around Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan's contact info. That is wise, because "she doesn't want to be known as the person who spreads his number all over town." With the show, and its prequels and sequels, so popular, plenty of people would love to know how to reach him.

Wilson Has a Full Schedule

When she isn't considering acting roles, Wilson still has loads to do. She has a jam-packed touring schedule, she just introduced her own jewelry line, and by the way, there is something else. Wilson and her special guy, "Duck" Hodges, are getting married!

Her popularity and standing in the industry are both soaring. Per her web site, Wilson nabbed a coveted quartet of honor earlier this year at the ACM Awards. She got Artist-Songwriter of the Year, Entertainer of the Year (that makes twice in a row), Album of the Year, and Female Artist of the Year. That is some impressive haul.

Wilson was also inducted into the most elite of elite circles in country music. She is now a member of the Grand Ole Opry.
