Bailey Zimmerman Shares Announcement: “I’m Going on My First Arena Tour”

Bailey Zimmerman is going on his first arena tour with his album 'Different Night, Same Rodeo'. Read more about it here.

Bailey Zimmerman is going on his first area tour. The singer first hinted at this on the red carpet at the VMAs last night, sharing that he was "really, really excited" to make the announcement. This morning, the singer shared on his Instagram a message of gratitude and excitement for shows to come.

"My first time playing areas," the singer captioned the post. "This year's tours have been nothing short of unbelievable, y'all...Like the craziest shows of my life...and I thought, why would we stop now?! Let's keep it going..."

Zimmerman will be hitting 30 cities on his Different Night Same Rodeo Tour, which will feature openers Huston Westbrook and Blake Whiten, depending on the city. He told Billboard at the VMAs that he's going to be playing "a couple of amphitheaters, but mostly arenas. I'm so stoked because I've never gotten to do that on my own, so I'm really, really excited."

Although this might be his first time headlining an area tour, Bailey Zimmerman knows how to fill up seats. In 2023, the "Backup Plan" singer opened for Morgan Wallen on his One Night At A Time Tour, which broke records as the highest-grossing country tour of all time. This summer, Zimmerman has been busy on his New To Country Tour, where he visited 16 U.S. cities and performed at festivals like Windy City Smokeout and Country Thunder.

What Fans Can Expect From 'Different Night, Same Rodeo'

Zimmerman made waves when he dropped his sophomore album, Different Night, Same Rodeo, on August 8th. When describing what fans can expect to hear in his new record, Zimmerman said, "I would say, just a little bit of everything. Like, I've told everybody this, I've told everybody this. I'm like, 'Dude, I don't know what I'm doing. I have no idea what I'm doing.' The singer shared, "I randomly got into music in 2021. I'd never sang before, I'd never wrote songs before."

He said for his second album, he wanted to do something a little more personal than what he'd done for his first record, "Religiously". "The one thing I really landed on was telling stories from my life - whether it's breakups, whether it's things I've learned just living," Zimmerman shared, "I wanted people to know who I am, and more, I guess."

Well, if you didn't know who he was before, you're going to now. Zimmerman just got nominated for a VMA for "Best Collaboration" last night, and now he's headed off on his first area tour. Fans can sign up for the presale, which is happening this Friday, September 12th, at 10 AM local standard time.
