The "Five More Minutes" singer shared the news on social media earlier this week, accompanied by a carousel of adorable images of the little bundle of joy with his mom, dad, and little brother, Merrick Avery.

The caption reads, "Oliver Cooke McCreery joined our family on September 18. Can't imagine life without him, we love him so berry much!!" A blueberry emoji followed the caption.

The name "Oliver" is typically associated with strength and resilience. As for his middle name, "Cooke," it holds special meaning for the American Idol winner, as it's his own middle name.

Oliver Arrived a Little Bit Early

According to Taste of Country, Oliver was expected to arrive in November. However, there is no mention in the caption that he arrived ahead of schedule.

Among those welcoming Oliver into the world is country music icon Randy Travis. He wrote, "We are so happy for y'all! What a beautiful family God is creating—hugs to all of you! Your home just grew by 2 more feet!"

Fellow musician Michael Alvarado wrote, "Congrats!!" Golf influencer Elise Lobb Dzingel added, "Congratulations !!!!! Avery is going to be the best big brother!!"

Oliver Is a Welcome Highlight in a Rough Year for Scotty McCreery

Back in March, McCreery took a fall onstage while showboating for fans. He thankfully didn't break anything, other than his pride, of course.

Then, as reported in July, things became truly heartbreaking when McCreery lost two close family members on the same day.

"My heart is absolutely broken," he wrote on July 10.

"Yesterday, both my Grandma Janet and my Grandma Paquita passed away. I think I am still in a bit of shock as I type this, but I'm choosing to remember the great memories we all made with both of them."

He continued, "There really are too many to count. From being on the farm in Elizabeth City or visiting the Outer Banks with Grandma Janet. And then the incredible memories we made at the backyard pool in Pinehurst, all the way to visiting Puerto Rico with Grandma Paquita. Both of them truly taught me what love is all about. I will miss them dearly. If y'all could keep my family in your prayers, I'd appreciate it."
