Carter Faith Jones, who goes by the artist name "Carter Faith," initially teased the album back in June of 2025. Previously, Jones had put out projects that earned her CMT's Next Women of Country title, along with millions of streams. Now, her debut album is being met with high praise, allowing her to cement herself in the country music space.

On Today's Country Radio with Kalleigh Bannen, she described Cherry Valley as a "dreamland" that she uses to escape reality. "Cherry Valley is a place I drove through in Tennessee," Carter Faith shared. "Like, I wrote the name down and I kind of always just, you know, when they say go to your happy place, I kept like picturing this place that I was kind of making up in my brain."

Jones admitted that, as someone who performs, the escapism of "Cherry Valley" is also a bigger metaphor for her life. "I feel like it's an embellishment on reality." Carter then compared this to herself, saying, "I'm a more introverted person in real life. But when I write or play shows, it's like embellishing a part of me, if that makes sense. So I like that music does that, too."

Carter Faith Set To Star in New Film "Heartland"

Carter Faith is already having a huge year. Still, on top of an album release and touring for major artists like Kelsea Ballerini, Carly Pearce, and Little Big Town, Jones has also recently announced that she is taking on her first-ever acting role.

In a post she made on Instagram on September 8th, she shared the update with fans."they're gonna put me in the moviessssss?craziest thing ever to say that i'm gonna be in a movie???? HEARTLAND coming soon to @netflix ??????????????"

The movie, titled "Heartland," will be set in the Nashville music scene as Misty Jones (played by Jessica Chastain) searches for Carter Faith's character, who has gone missing. Filming was planned for this September, and the movie will be directed by Shana Feste (Country Strong).

She shared on her Apple Music interview, "I've made like playlists for the character. Her name is Charlie. I've made like vision boards, which is what I do for myself." Carter Faith shared, "As a singer, you get up and everyone's like, be yourself, be authentic. That's what the people want to see. And so it's been a weird mental shift to be like, no-be someone else."

People already love Carter Faith out of character, we have no doubt her new role as "Charlie" will make them love her even more. Fans of Carter Faith can stream her album, Cherry Valley, out everywhere now.
