Over the years, Nashville, TN, has been the setting for numerous TV projects, including Nashville from 2012 to 2018. At the time, Nashville put an even brighter spotlight on the "Music City" world, via the CMT channel. Now, Music City has taken claim to a new TV project: 9-1-1: Nashville. The show recently premiered on ABC in early October.

While Nashville detailed the lives of country artists trying to make it, 9-1-1: Nashville dives into the stories of the city's first responders. The original Nashville grew to have an incredibly dedicated fanbase over its 6-season run, and was a great success. Fans loved Nashville so much that they even played a role in it being picked up by CMT and Hulu for an additional 2 seasons.
In an interview with Billboard, Rashad Raisani, the executive producer and showrunner for 9-1-1: Nashville, revealed that Nashville actually already shares some crossover with 9-1-1. In fact, Raisani revealed that Tim Lauer, who was a producer and composer for Nashville, was a helpful touch point.
With even this small connection between the two, fans can't help but pose questions. Will Nashville characters ever make an appearance on 9-1-1: Nashville? Raisani actually revealed that he's open to the possibility.
9-1-1's cast of characters already includes familiar country faces like LeAnn Rhimes and Kimberly Paisley. Heck, it even has an episode that takes place during a fictional Kane Brown concert. However, it sounds like Raisani hasn't ruled out the idea of bringing Nashville characters into this universe as well. "I don't know about the rights and ownership, but what if I wanted Luke Wheeler or Rayna James or somebody to run into [our characters]," he shared. "I think that would be amazing."
Hayden Panettiere Expresses Interest in Nashville Reboot
Recently, stars from Nashville, like Hayden Panettiere, have entertained the idea of doing a reboot. For Panettiere, the love the fans have for it seems to make this an option. "People really, really loved that show," she shared with Glamour.
"They loved the human stories, the fact that it gives you kind of a peek into this Hollywood life. It was a show that resonated with so many people, and I love hearing about how my character [Juliette Barnes] impacted people in general." Fans really seemed to resonate with Panettiere's character, Barnes, a country star who came with a lot of baggage.
Panettiere expressed that she would "absolutely" be interested in a reboot. Even though there's no confirmation of this happening yet, perhaps she might not have to wait to re-enter the Music City universe.
