Ella Langley Uses a Toby Keith Song To Help an Ailing Fan During Concert in Texas

Ella Langley made sure to watch out for this fan while keeping her cool. She's a pro, and it's moments like this that remind us why.

If we've learned anything from a good summer of country music, it's that concerts can get pretty rowdy from time to time. It depends on the situation, but the responsibility almost always falls on the artist to make sure that not only their fans are entertained, but that they remain safe throughout the performance. While playing at a show in Texas this weekend, Ella Langley successfully showed us all how it's done when it comes to prioritizing safety while also keeping a concert lighthearted.

While playing at "the world's largest honky tonk," Ella Langley put a pause on her show when she realized that a fan had fallen in the crowd. Since she was already singing a cover of "Wish I Didn't Know Now", Langley decided to make up her own version of the song on the spot to better suit the situation. Changing the lyrics to the Toby Keith tune, she sang,

"Security over here... I think there is something over here right now / Yeah, we're going to figure it out  /Make sure nobody's passing out / In the front row, in the front row / Why don't y'all drink some water / Please drink some water..."

Ultimately, the "Choosin' Texas" singer was able to recruit security to help the fan, and she did so before finishing the song. Fans applauded Langley for being able to take a moment that could have been problematic and turn it into one that reflects her natural versatility as a performer.

Langley Reflects on Her Mental Health at Recent Show

In August of 2025, Ella Langley took to Instagram to tell fans that she was taking a break from performing after spending the summer touring with Riley Green and Morgan Wallen. Now, she's back and better than ever, promoting the release of her new song "Choosin' Texas", which came out this past Friday.

Reflecting on her break and her mental state at this point in her career, Langley shared with fans a little bit about her own personal struggles at a show in Madison, IL. "Recently, over my break, one of my biggest takeaways from it was, I'm so grateful for her. I'm so grateful for the girl that went through those things, went through that situation. Because now, I'm the woman that I am because of her."

At the 2025 ACMs, Langley shared that she feels talking about mental health is important for someone like her to do, at this point in her career. "Hopefully my honesty and realness rubs [into] some little girl or boy that wants to do this," she shared. "[And they] get to see that it is tough, but tough things are worth going through if you want them."
