“Absolutely Not True”: Alexandra Kay Sticks Up for Keith Urban Guitarist Maggie Baugh

When a clip surfaced of Keith Urban changing the lyrics of the Nicole Kidman-inspired song "The Fighter" to spotlight guitarist Maggie Baugh, just after Urban and Kidman announced their divorce, the rumors started to swirl.

Many believed that Baugh and Urban were having an affair, but neither of them has addressed the allegations. Baugh is letting her music do the talking. She released the single "The Devil Win" a few weeks back.

Some fans interpret the lyrics as referencing her rumored relationship with Urban. Meanwhile, Urban is managing to keep his sense of humor during his "High and Alive World Tour."

However, one person is speaking out. While promoting her new album, Second Wind, Alexandra Kay was asked if she could relate to Urban and Kidman's breakup after her own divorce in 2023.

The "Painted Him Perfect" had some strong opinions on the matter.

Kay Has Met Maggie Baugh's Boyfriend

During the interview, Kay defended Baugh, emphasizing that she is happy with her boyfriend and not involved with Urban.

"Honestly, I was heartbroken for them because the media scrutiny is insane and the things that people say... They're like, stirring up rumors about Maggie Baugh, and I'm like, 'She's a good friend of mine and I know that's absolutely not true,'" said Kay.

She added, "I've met her boyfriend, and she's very happy, and she has nothing to do with that whole [Nicole and Keith] relationship."

Kay went on to say she hopes everyone involved can keep their personal lives private.

"I feel sad for everybody involved that people are doing that and picking apart their personal life," she said. "I pray for peace for them and for everybody to have their privacy."

Baugh Did Leave Urban's Tour

However, Baugh's absence from Urban's "High and Alive World Tour" has nothing to do with the rumors surrounding the two musicians. She is on her own tour, which included a sold-out show in Carmel, Indiana, last Friday.

As we reported last week, a source from Urban's tour said, "It's simply logistics."

She will be in West Palm Beach, Florida, on Oct. 24, and will be part of the five-night Country Cruising vacation experience headlined by Trace Adkins and Clay Walker.
