It looks like all that golfing with her grandfather is paying off for Kai Trump.

The daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and his ex-wife Vanessa Haydon announced that she will be making her LPGA Tour debut next month. It will be held at The Annika at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida, on Nov. 10-16. The tournament has a $3.25 million purse, one of the largest on the tour. Nelly Korda is the defending champion.
The 18-year-old linkswoman said that she has always wanted to compete in the league. She received her spot because of a sponsorship exemption.
"My dream has been to compete with the best in the world on the LPGA Tour," she said in a press release. "This event will be an incredible experience. I look forward to meeting and competing against so many of my heroes and mentors in golf as I make my LPGA Tour debut."
Kai Trump Has Earned Her Spot
While it may seem that Kai's debut may have something to do with who her grandfather is, she's actually a pretty good golfer in her own right.
She is currently ranked 461st in the Rolex AJGA Rankings and is preparing to play golf for the University of Miami Hurricanes next year. She reportedly also has millions of dollars in sponsorship deals with Callaway and TaylorMade.
Of course, having 2.5 million Instagram followers and a clothing line helps.
"Sponsor invitations are an important way to spotlight emerging talent and bring new attention to our tournaments and the LPGA," said Ricki Lasky, the LPGA's chief tour business and operations officer. "Kai's broad following and reach are helping introduce golf to new audiences, especially among younger fans. We're excited to see her take this next step in her journey."
Will President Trump Be There for His Granddaughter's Debut?
It's too soon to tell. There's also no word if Tiger Woods, who is currently dating Kai's mother, will be in attendance.
One star who will be there is Caitlin Clark. The WNBA phenom will participate in the tournament's pro-am on Nov. 12.
