Chris, Bryan's brother, lost his life in a car crash. Bryan was at the time a young man preparing to put down roots in Nashville. Then his sister passed away suddenly in 2007 and later, his brother-in-law died too. However, a saving grace in the singer's life has been his dear wife, Caroline. The two have shared an unbreakable bond through all their travails and triumphs.
Bryan and His Wife Lovingly Described Their Relationship
Per People four years ago, Bryan talked about his and Caroline's marital strategy. It sure seems to work very well for the couple. He said, "We've gotten better at understanding when we need to sit down and work through something. And we've also gotten better at realizing when we just need to forgive each other and move on...."
Caroline agreed. "Marriage isn't always a fairy tale! It's a battle that both people have to be willing to fight. Each day whether we are blissfully happy or not, we fight for each other."
Bryan affirmed, "We just have a ball in life and have a ball with our kids."
The Singer Praised Caroline Warmly
Per the outlet via CNN's All There Is podcast with Anderson Cooper, Bryan lauded his wife. She has been a constant, supportive presence and a wonderful mom to their two children, Tate and Bo. They also raised Bryan's nieces and nephew after the deaths of his sister and brother-in-law.
He said, "Well, I don't know anybody that could have done what she's done. I mean, she goes into life thinking she's marrying a country music singer, and then next thing you know, she's helping the girls and the boys and still putting up with my antics."
Bryan went on, "It's been an amazing journey. And t wouldn't, you know it couldn't have gone on without walking in that bar [Dingus MaGee's] at Georgia Southern."
Caroline Has Also Known Tremendous Grief
Bryan said that Caroline has also experienced painful family tragedy. "She lost — her brother and [sister-in-law] lost a young 7-month-old baby [Brett]. And we've had to watch them deal with grief, losing a seven month old, very close to us and we love them. It's just life is hard out there."
