The Cast of Reba McEntire’s Sitcom Wants This ‘Yellowstone’ Star on the Show

Judging from her seemingly busy schedule, Reba McEntire is capable of anything. But can she get a star from Yellowstone to be a guest star on her sitcom Happy's Place?

Belissa Escobedo, who plays Isabella, the half-sister of McEntire's Bobbie, would sure like to see her try.

Reba McEntire Does Have Some Pull

On the charming hit show, McEntire's character inherits the titular restaurant from her father, only to discover she has a half-sister. The two work together running the quirky small-town eatery.

Happy's Place is something that is definitely in McEntire's wheelhouse. When the 70-year-old began working on Happy's Place, she was able to get her fiancé, Rex Linn, and her former Reba co-star, Melissa Peterman, to join the cast.

"When we were working on this, they said, 'We're going to have a short-order cook,' and I said, 'That's gotta be Rex,'" said McEntire. "We have a blast. I love it. He brings me to work. He drives us to work and then takes us home, and he's my rehearsal coach, so I rehearse a lot."

She also brought her other Reba co-stars, Steve Howey, Christopher Rich, and JoAnna Garcia Swisher, onto the show in small roles. Now, Escobedo would love for McEntire to set her sights even higher.

Can Mcentire Even Snag This 'Yellowstone' Star?

McEntire appears on NBC quite a bit these days. In addition to starring on Happy's Place, she is a coach on the reality singing competition show The Voice this season. Given her connections, she should be able to work with the network to secure a guest spot for this star.

It would be an important role for the show: Bobbie and Isabella's father, Happy. The idea would be for him to appear in flashbacks to give the show some more context.

In an interview with US Weekly, Pablo Castelblanco, who plays the accountant Steve, revealed who Escobedo wants to play Happy.

He said, "Belissa really wants Kevin Costner."

Peterman thinks the Bull Durham star would be perfect for the role.

"I also would love a flashback scene, specifically a flashback of the day showing each and every one's job interview," she says. "That could be really fun. Do we ever really want to see Happy? I would love to."

Costner certainly has the time. He won't be starring in one of the many Yellowstone spinoffs for obvious reasons. Given that his Horizon movie saga has stalled, maybe a sitcom would be a nice change of pace.

Here's hoping McEntire can make it happen.
