Gretchen Wilson is too talented and too successful to suffer fools lightly. However, that doesn't mean that she doesn't encounter foolish moments on occasion. During a recent appearance on "Taste of Country Nights," Wilson recalled a brief, yet somewhat funny encounter with celebrity chef Guy Fieri.

The "Redneck Woman" singer recalled attending the VIP opening of John Rich's Redneck Riviera restaurant in Las Vegas. When she attended, they seated her across from Fieri, who didn't know who she was and then tried to have her removed from the restaurant.
"How do you say his name? The cooking guy," Wilson said. "When John [Rich] opened up his restaurant, Redneck Riviera, in Las Vegas, he [Guy] and I were seated at a table across from each other. Hilarious, because when I first sat down he didn't know who I was, and he tried to have me removed...It was one of those drinkin' nights, we're gonna see who's who here in a minute, spiky hair. I was like, 'Because he's my brother and I'm sitting right here.'"
Fortunately, they quickly resolved the situation, and both Wilson and Fieri appeared to see the funny side.

The conversation began when someone asked Wilson about the "craziest phone number" in her contact list. That question is what led to her disclosing the humorous encounter, to which Wilson noted that Fieri backed down and the pair wound up exchanging phone numbers.
"I can (contact Fieri), but I don't," Wilson told Taste of Country Nights.
Wilson's story is interesting because it raises the question of how many other celebrities have failed to recognize each other, leading to similar interactions. The world is a big place, and with the constant emergence of new names in the spotlight, Wilson's experience can't be an outlier.
Hopefully, other celebrities handle their disputes as amicably as Wilson and Fieri did. And who knows, those chance encounters could lead to unexpected partnerships in the future.

Wilson continues to diversify her media presence. Alongside her singing career, she has written an autobiography, launched her own record label, and recently managed a tour for CBS's The Road.
During a recent interview with Cinema Blend, Wilson praised Taylor Sheridan's role and handling of the show and the impact he'd had on the contenders.
"I think that the unique thing about working with Taylor is just the beauty that he brings to what he touches. Everything that you watch, that he has been involved with, has got a warmth to it, like a colorization that you just don't see anywhere else. It reminds you of real life."
Wilson isn't one to rest on her laurels, so it will be interesting to see what she does next. However, we can hazard an educated guess that it won't include Fieri.
