Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce aren't the only couple in the midst of planning their wedding. Darius Rucker and his partner, Emily Deahl, are also engaged.

But while everyone is speculating about the where and when of Swift and Kelce's ceremony, Rucker recently told the hosts of TODAY that there's no need to postulate about his wedding plans.
That's because the lead singer of Hootie and the Blowfish and his fiancée don't have any.
Darius Rucker Doesn't Want Anything Elaborate
Yes, it does seem weird that Rucker and Deahl have no plans for their nuptials. But when he explained everything during his interview, it actually made sense.
"We don't really have any plans. We're not gonna plan," he said on the show. "We're just gonna get married. Have a big party somewhere."
Rucker went on to invite Al Roker and the gang to the party, which sums up the vibe he and Deahl, whom he referred to as "an amazing human being" earlier in the interview, are going for: relaxed but enjoyable.
Rucker was on the show to promote his latest project, Howl Owl Howl. It's a supergroup with R.E.M.'s Mike Mills and The Black Crowes' Steve Gorman. As you may have inferred from the trio's lineup, Rucker isn't going country for this project. The band's sound is more of a throwback to Rucker's output with Hootie and the Blowfish.
"Those guys [Mills and Gorman] were so influential to me growing up. To be in a band with them now is pretty awesome," he says.
Rucker and Deahl Also Kept Their Relationship Low-Key for a While
Fans didn't know about Rucker's relationship until September, though, as he said on TODAY, they had been "going together for a couple of years."
Deahl is a content creator, singer, and songwriter from South Carolina, though she has lived in London, Los Angeles, and Nashville. Rucker was married to Beth Leonard from 2000 to 2020. They have two children, Jack and Daniela. Rucker also has a daughter named Carolyn from an earlier relationship.
Rucker and Deahl announced their engagement on Instagram in October.
"Thank you for showing me a level of happiness I have never known," read the caption. "The day I met you I knew I didn't want to go another one without you. Now I don't have to."
