Zach Bryan Reveals He’s Been Stone-Cold Sober for Two Months in Vulnerable, Tell-All Statement

Zach Bryan has opened up about his battle with alcohol and mental health issues in a recent post on Instagram.

Zach Bryan has been making some major changes to his lifestyle. The "Something in the Orange" singer recently told his fans that he's been stone-cold sober for the past two months. He provided the update during a recent Instagram post, where he detailed his thought process behind cutting out alcohol, and why he isn't saying he will never drink again.

"I haven't touched alcohol for nearly two months now — something I had to do for my own personal clarity," Bryan wrote. "I needed to see the world objectively...I was stuck in a perpetual discontent that led me to always reaching for alcohol, not for the taste, but because there was a consistent black hole in me always needing its void filled."

Bryan, 29, went on to explain how cutting out drinking has helped him feel good about himself. He detailed how his decade of military experience, coupled with his rise to fame, had led him to seek out forms of escapism. Fortunately, it would appear that he recognized the self-destructive path he was on and has made the necessary adjustments.

"I feel great, I feel content, I feel whole. There is nothing I need to get me by anymore."

Zach Bryan Was Dealing With Mental Health Issues

In the same post, Bryan noted how he's also been dealing with mental health issues.

"I was having Earth-shattering panic attack," he revealed. "The anxiety I felt was paralyzing and I thought, since I was successful, had the I always longed for, and had great friends, that I could tough anything out."

Bryan hasn't been on tour in almost a year, with his last road trip coming between March and December 2024. Ironically, that tour was dubbed "The Quittin' Time Tour," and it appears that he took that title literally and is now reaping the rewards.

Zach Bryan Urged Others To Seek Help

Bryan ended his heartfelt post by urging others who are battling mental health or addiction problems to seek out the help they need.

"If you or any of your friends are too tough, too scared, or too stubborn to reach out, know that the most stubborn dumbass on the planet did and didn't regret it. I don't believe in absolutes. One day, maybe, I'll learn to control my habits; but for now, I just want to say it is okay to be weak at times and need help. God speed everyone! I pray this helps somebody."

Bryan's vulnerability and willingness to discuss his struggles are commendable. The hope is that by using his platform to share the hurdles he's facing and overcoming, he will empower others to take a similar path.

Hopefully, Bryan's message will reach the desired impact and lead to positive outcomes for others who may be in need of help.
