It's no secret that Morgan Wallen and Megan Moroney had a fling; she mentioned on the Call Her Daddy podcast that they dated, just "never exclusively." After fans have repeatedly speculated about the nature of their relationship, Moroney stepped into the limelight to clear up any lingering speculation about the two country stars.

"I think Morgan is great and his new album [I'm the Problem] is great," says Moroney. "Him and I are still friends," she told People. She also made a point to mention that she's currently single, even though a lot of fans thought she was in cahoots with NFL player Nick Bosa. "I'm not dating right now at all. I'm too busy," the "6 Months Later" singer shared.
By "busy," she means promoting the release of a brand-new album, Cloud 9, which is set to come out in late February. At the CMAs this year, she received multiple nominations for her last project, Am I Okay? but did not go home with a single award. However, before the ceremony, she expressed gratitude to her fans for making the night feel special, win or lose. "Even hearing all those nominations," she told Music Mayhem. "I don't feel like I would be as recognized in the industry if it wasn't for y'all showing up the way you do for me..." It sounds like, for her, the night was a win no matter what.
These Songs May or May Not Be About Megan Moroney and Morgan Wallen
Even though Moroney has been quick to shut down any rumors involving her and Wallen, there was a time when fans were absolutely convinced that something was going on between those two. I mean, it's not like the signs weren't there.
In 2022, fans began speculating when Moroney released "Tennessee Orange," a song about a Georgia girl falling for a boy who roots for the Volunteers. Wallen is notably a Tennessee fan, and even let Moroney borrow his jersey for the cover art. It's giving a little more than "friends" to me, but okay.
In December of 2022, Morgan coincidentally dropped a song called "Tennessee Fan", which also sings about a Vols fan converting a non-Vols fan into a supporter. This seems to be an ongoing theme. Another one of Morgan's songs, titled "TN" (I guess because he just can't not write a song about his home state), sings about him falling for a girl who's from GA, which again, Megan very much is.
Whether you think these songs have anything to do with the Moroney-Wallen debacle, that's up to you. But, it's certainly fun to guess, espeically when the writing speaks for itself.
