Dolly Parton has been dealing with some unspecified health problems lately. She has had to rearrange her schedule and appear by video at some events. But no matter what, the country music icon always remembers her devoted fans. Parton, 79, wished them a Happy Thanksgiving with a sweet and thoughtful video message on November 27, per People. Parton's Video Concluded With the Title of a Famous Song
In the video, Dolly Parton is wearing a V-neck beige top. She is seated in front of a background of a similar hue. Per the outlet via Instagram, the "9 to 5" singer said, "Well hey! It's Dolly here, and I want to wish all of you and your family blessings this Thanksgiving. I am so thankful for all of you and for the memories that we've shared through the years. So Happy Thanksgiving to everyone and just know that I will always love you."
Of course, those ending words are the title of one of Parton's most famous and best-loved songs. She wrote it as a touching goodbye to country crooner and mentor Porter Wagoner. That was when she exited their longstanding professional relationship to build a solo career. As we know, Parton became wildly successful on her own! Some two decades later, Whitney Houston rendered the tune a classic blockbuster smash when she recorded it for the soundtrack of her film The Bodyguard.
