High school was tough for all of us. Learning how to navigate social circles, keep up with the workload, finding out identities and even our passions, was a tough few years. Most of us will look back on that time fondly now, but in the moment, it was a mentally and physically gruelling experience.

So, it should come as no surprise to learn that celebrities navigated the same issues and pitfalls that we did. During a recent interview on Taste of Country Nights, Kelsea Ballerini recalled having an issue with a teacher who "hated her."
"I didn't fail, but it was the first time I ever made a C. This is the truth, I was a senior in high school, it was Spanish class, and at the time I was dating someone whose main language was Spanish," Ballerini said. "My teacher hated me, hated me, because I just could not grasp it. She was one of those teachers too. She would be like, 'Does anyone in the class know the answer?' Half the class would raise their hand, and she would pick someone who didn't have their hand up, and I would just always say, 'Yo, no se,' which is, 'Yo, I don't know.'"
Considering the success Ballerini has tasted during her career, it's hard to imagine she struggled with anything. However, she is human, just like us, and that means that some things don't come easily. For Ballerini, that's Spanish; for you or me, it could be math, science, music or any other subject.
Kelsea Ballerini and Chase Stokes Broke up Earlier This Year
Ballerini and Chase Stokes were an item for almost three years. However, earlier this year, it was reported that the couple had called quits on their relationship. Sources close to the couple spoke to People after the breakup was confirmed.
"They're two adults who gave it their all and tried to do everything they could to make it work, but ultimately couldn't. It happens," the sources said.
Since their breakup, Ballerini has continued with her music career, and will eventually be back on the lookout for love.
