In a chat with CMT, Yearwood explained how one year, she and Garth went to a "Silly Santa" party. The deal was that you could only spend $20 on a gift for a mystery person. Most people try to come up with something silly to give. However, in their first year going to a "Silly Santa" party, Yearwood admitted that the gift they came up with wasn't very funny. So, Garth was determined to step up his game come round two.

"We had some of those Beats headphones, and he saved the box," she explained. If you've ever had a pair of Beats headphones, by the way, you know they are certainly not under $20. They're more like in the $100 - $150 range. "When that person that picked that package up opened it and they saw the Beats box, they were so excited," Trisha continued. That person was still going to get some beats, just not the kind they'd originally been promised.

"When they opened the box, it was, they were beats," Trisha revealed to CMT. "But it was 2 cans of beets, and they were tied with a string and that was the funniest gift that I've ever seen."

Honestly, that's pretty hard to top for a "Silly Santa" gift.

A Timeline of Trisha and Garth's Relationship

Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood just celebrated 20 years of being married. Therefore, it's only appropriate that we do a fun timeline of how their relationship came to be.

The country singers met originally in 1987, during a demo recording when both of them were unsigned. At the time, Brooks was already married to Sandy Mahl. He later admitted in an interview that meeting Trisha was strange for that reason. "It's strange because I felt that feeling like when you just meet your wife, but I've been married for 13 months, Garth explained. "We had a lot more in common than I ever dreamed we did."

It wasn't until nearly 15 years later that the two of them started dating officially, debuting their relationship on the Songwriters Hall of Fame red carpet. Then, in 2005, they tied the knot at a private ceremony in Oklahoma.

Check out this clip of them on Instagram singing their song "Merry Christmas, Valentine". It's from one of Trisha's recent shows on their anniversary. It's obvious, these two are perfect for each other.
