It didn't hurt that she and coach Christina Aguilera shared a kiss onstage after the contestant shared that "Genie In A Bottle" singer was her "first girl crush."
That season, Hay made it all the way to the Top 20. She was eliminated in the first week of the live playoffs. We haven't heard much from The Voice contestant on the musical front since then. However, the Oklahoma native is now making headlines for an entirely different reason.
Kata Hay Has Been Arrested
Earlier this week, the Goodlettsville Police Department in Tennessee released a photo of Hay on
Facebook. It asked for the public's help in finding her."She currently has outstanding warrants for vehicular homicide in connection with a motor vehicle crash on Long Hollow Pike near I-65," the notice read. "We have reason to believe that she may be en route to Oklahoma and traveling with a white male and quite possibly towing a large camper."
On Wednesday morning, a local deputy picked The Voice contestant up from her home in Oklahoma and arrested her.
"The Goodlettsville Police Department would like to thank the multitude of citizens who called in with tips as to the location of Ms. Huddleston," explained
another Facebook post. "As a direct result we are pleased to announce that she was arrested early this morning in Oklahoma where she will be extradited back to Davidson County."This Isn't 'The Voice' Contestant's First Brush With the Law
According to TMZ, Hay has an open DUI case stemming from an incident on Dec. 10. The Voice contestant is also charged with leaving the scene of an accident with property damage. It is estimated that she caused more than $1,500 in destruction. She is also accused of driving with an open container.
Furthermore, in 2022, Kay was also arrested and convicted for having sexual contact with a minor. She was sentenced to six months in jail.
