At the Strega North End restaurant in Boston, the country music star made a surprise appearance to fans on Saturday. The eight-time Entertainer of the Year winner stopped by for brunch at Strega to sing some hits, like "Get Along". Fans accompanied Chesney for photos and good times.
2025 has been a big year for Kenny Chesney. Not only was the country star inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in March, but he also became a New York Times Best-selling author. This is thanks to his new memoir, "Heart Life Music".
He admitted during his induction that it's not very often he lets himself be proud of his career. However, he was able to savor his success that night.
"The truth is, I've never really let myself sit in accomplishment very much," Chesney shared. "I've always been very creative, very driven. But tonight, I can tell you, walking into that rotunda and taking the group shot with a lot of my heroes and a lot of my friends, it was the first time that I have ever felt accomplished in my life. It's an unbelievable feeling to stand here in this moment, and with every cell in my body, I feel the gravity of this moment."
Since moving to Nashville in 1989, Chesney has been active in the music business for 32 years.
Kenny Chesney is Passing Along His Wisdom to Megan Moroney
Since he himself has already earned "legend" status, Kenny Chesney has been using some of his time to nurture younger creatives. One of these creatives is Megan Moroney, who sang at his 2025 induction. The country singer did a cover of "Knowing You", which was a song off of 2020's Here and Now.
Since opening for Chesney on his Sun Goes Down tour in 2024, Moroney has not only viewed Chesney as a "valuable mentor" but also as one of her "best friends."
In an interview with People, Moroney said she felt Chesney played a significant role in her winning the CMA Artist of the Year award in 2024. "I think he had a lot to do with that, just because to his industry friends, he was like, 'I believe in her. You need to listen to her songwriting,'" she shared. "He just boosted me up a lot."
