The Daytona 500 Will Honor Biffie on Sunday
This particular race represents an exciting tradition. But this year's running may be somewhat subdued to a degree. That is because of the untimely death of Greg Biffie and the other passengers on the plane.
There will be tributes to honor his memory, Per Country Rebel, "His former team, RFK Racing, announced it will change the font of its car numbers to the iconic font style that Biffle once ran." Other cars will showcase that same tribute. They are Ryan Preece's No. 60, Brad Keselowski's No.6, Corey LaJoie's No. 99, and Chris Buescher's No. 17.
Two additional drivers, AJ Allmendinger and Ricky Stenhouse Jr., will have their cars adorned with Biffie's characteristic font. So will "four Niece Motorsports trucks taking part in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race," per the outlet.
Races that take place during the Daytona 500 weekend will have trucks and cars sporting "Be Like Biff" stickers.
