Former NBA champion Dwight Howard and his wife, Amber Rose Howard, appear destined for an ugly split.

Dwight, a 2025 Basketball Hall of Fame inductee, called the Gwinnett County Police on March 7, alleging that Amber Rose had "gone berserk" and stolen $20,000 worth of items from his vehicle.
He told authorities that Amber Rose took a wedding ring, multiple cell phones, jewelry, and cash from his car, according to police body camera footage obtained by PEOPLE on Tuesday, March 17. Dwight claims that a bag containing his wallet, passport, driver's license and credit cards was also stolen.
While this is the first report of theft, it is not the first legal quarrel between the former couple.

Last summer, mere months after tying the knot, Amber Rose filed for divorce, but the two later reconciled.
The estranged couple has been married since Jan. 11, 2025.
Howard told police officers that he was planning an outing with his children. He then realized that his car was ransacked, per the body camera footage.
"I went to get my son. And when I came back out to my car, all my stuff was gone," he said.
The former Los Angeles Lakers star filed for divorce on March 9, two days after the theft-related argument with Amber Rose.
According to TMZ, the former couple was slated to receive a reality TV show together, which would have included a $1 million payout for each of them, but Dwight nixed the deal.
According to Amber Rose, she was blindsided by the television series' cancellation. Dwight reportedly emailed the production team to scrap the project without informing her.
Amber Rose appeared on Love and Hip-Hop: Atlanta for four years. Shortly after tying the knot, Dwight asked her to step away from the show.
Amber Rose said that her departure from the Atlanta-based series made her financially dependent on Howard. She believes he is using it as leverage in their relationship.
Sources close to Dwight have since denied such claims to TMZ, stating that his camp was open to a TV show for the right price. In either case, it appears that their rumored TV show, along with their marriage, is a thing of the past.
