Through the years, music icons like Michael Jackson, Beyonce, Bruno Mars and Kendrick Lamar have graced the grand stage, delivering historic performances. The headliner for the 2027 Super Bowl at So-Fi Stadium has yet to be announced. But one star, Miley Cyrus, is open to the challenge.
In an interview with Variety, Cyrus was asked if she would accept an offer to perform during the Super Bowl.
"I always think the Super Bowl feels like too much pressure," Cyrus, 33, told the outlet.
"I would have to do the mental work of making it not about the Super Bowl. Because then you can't help but go, 'It's millions of people. And it's the most-watched thing in the world,'" Cyrus continued.
Cyrus, a second-generation music star, famously kick-started her career as Disney's Hannah Montana.
The iconic series aired from 2006 to 2011.
Miley Cyrus Would Consider Headlining Super Bowl
Despite the immense pressure of headlining the Super Bowl, Cyrus admits she'd consider it if it were done similarly to her upcoming Disney+ special.
"If I could find a way to make it exactly what the Hannahversary was — taking a journey through the discography and appreciating each song, each era for what it is — I think I could find it in myself," she said.
Notably, the pop star headlined the TikTok tailgate at Super Bowl LV in 2021.
There has been no official word that she is in the running to headline next year's Super Bowl. However, Cyrus certainly boasts the fan base and discography needed to do so.
The pop star currently averages a whopping 53 million monthly streams on Spotify.
Cyrus has over 23 RIAA-certified platinum records (including multi-platinum certifications).
Her biggest hits include the 14-time platinum "Party in the U.S.A.," 12-time platinum "Wrecking Ball," 11-time platinum "We Can't Stop," and 9-time platinum "Flowers".
